What Happens in CBT & Ayurveda Sessions?

Your Personal Mind, Body & Spirit Plan

First, we explore and name the things stopping you from living your best life. You set your intentions and goals.

Second, we make a plan using tools from Ayurveda, Yoga, CBT and mindfulness.

Third, you practice the things we decide on.

Fourth, you come back and tell me what’s working and what’s not, and we tweak, and I give you more tools or practices.

Rinse and repeat until you are happy with your daily routines and have all the necessary tools.

Spiralling Into Control


I will offer diet recommendations, lifestyle and routine changes, stress management, exercise and yoga practice, herbs and supplements, meditation, pranayama and mindfulness.

Bit by bit, you will begin to restore balance by adding small and simple variations to your daily routine - and as you experience the benefits, you will naturally want to keep progressing in the process.

An Ayurvedic Food Plan

After determining your Ayurvedic body type and finding out about your normal schedule and routine, I will help you to create an eating plan that fits with your life, and gives you a solid framework for when, how and what to eat in order for you to be as healthy as you possibly can. The vegan Ayurvedic diet consists of a wholefood plant-based diet, eaten mindfully.

Ayurvedic Herbs & Spices

In Ayurvedic medicine, herbs and spices may be suggested as part of your prescription.  Spices are suggested in your food plan according to your body type.  Herbs may be suggested as well, but they are chosen very carefully and sparingly and only as a support to the other changes that you are making.

Ayurvedic Meal Plans

Yoga

Specific yoga poses will be selected for you to bring balance to your body type. We will consider the seasons, the time of day, the time of the month and your stage in life. You will be offered a unique yoga routine to practice at home at a pace that is appropriate for the state of your health at the moment. I’ll make sure that it fits in with your schedule so that your plan enables you to cultivate mindfulness, harmony and peace and release stress instead of adding to it! And your body will get stronger and more flexible too!

CBT & Mindfulness

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and mindfulness can help you with ADHD, anxiety and depression. Learn to change your thoughts, behaviours and emotions and your mental health.

Mindfulness is about learning to stay in the present moment without judgment. You can learn to use it to manage stress and ADHD. Meditation and pranayama are wonderful tools from Yoga and Ayurveda that will help you find more inner peace and calm.
